I want you, I don't want you for reward *** but I want you for punishment

And all my desires I have attained *** except for my pleasure and my seriousness with torment

[ The affliction is the rise of pain in the soul of the sufferer .]

Know that the real affliction is only the emergence of pain and its presence in the soul of the sufferer, what is the cause usually associated with it, such as the presence of beating with a whip, burning with fire, wounding with iron and the like of sensory effects that result from sensory pain, as well as loss of money and calamity in the family and the child and the threat of severe threats and all the reasons beyond it. The cause of psychological pain usually, if it occurs to this person, and it is the garment of Ihram, then Ihram prevents him from luxury and enjoyment, so such matters usually cause pain, so it is legal for the one who is afflicted with it to be patient, content and submit to the flow of fates on him with this. [ Pleasure is bliss and enjoyment ]

Likewise, pleasure, which is the opposite of pain, is an attribute of the pleasure that is described by it, which is bliss and bliss, and it has apparent causes, which are the attainment of his purposes as they were, for he enjoys its existence if it occurs. In fact, except the pleasure that exists in the soul, which is also a sensual and psychological pleasure, and causes such as the causes of pain are external and existing in his sense. From God, he must be thankful for the blessings that he provides, and vice versa, in obtaining the causes of blessings, he finds pain, so he must be patient

[ In every calamity, there are three blessings from God on the afflicted servant ]

Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, said, God did not afflict me with a calamity, so he proved that he was afflicted by it. Any calamity befalls him, any reason that usually causes pain. He said, I did not see that God has three blessings upon me in that calamity, the one blessing, since it was not in my religion, the second blessing, as it was not more than it. The third blessing is what God has promised of reward for it. I look at it. Like this is what is called patient. He is the owner of many blessings. He is pleased with what is witnessed, so he must thank the one who is blessed and vice versa, which is the presence of the causes of pleasure, so God blesses him with money and wellness and the presence of a child or a new state in which he will have leadership, command and prohibition, and these are all Reasons for souls to enjoy.

[ Patience with affliction and gratitude with blessings ]

The owner of these reasons thinks about the rights that he is entitled to in terms of thanking the benefactor and the divine commission in that, and what he has to do with money, children and guardianship in all of that in a legitimate way that is close to God, and to establish weight in all of that when he thinks of this and it is his duty from God To look into that, these pleasure causes usually follow this thought that causes pain, so the pain arose with him, for he is the owner of calamity, because he suffers from the appearance of the causes of bliss, so he must be patient with that pain and strive to perform what is required of him from the right to that, or abstain from it if the pain is excessive in him So patience does not occur except in its place with the presence of reasons against it, and gratitude does not occur except in its place with the presence of reasons against it. That is why Abu Yazid said

Only a refuge and a serious torment

What is meant by torment here is the presence of pain, because pain is the opposite of pleasure, so they do not meet in one place at all, which is the pursuit of pleasure when the cause of pain is present, which is a violation of a habit like the fire of Abraham, peace be upon him, which is apparently fire, but it did not affect Abraham s body, nor did he find pain for it. It was cold and peaceful, so it was necessary to be thankful for him, because there is no pain then patience is necessary for him. Except in the name of pain, which is affliction

[ The reward of the two who are patient and the reward of the two who are thankful ]

Do you not see the Prophet, may God s prayers and peace be upon him, what changed my Ihram dress except in a place called Al-Tan im, alerting his companions and those who come after him from his brothers? Softening us and enjoying what you are in His way, because it is a compelling reason for obtaining those honorable sights and immense blessings, so the difficulty of your path will become easier for you, so you will be among the thankful, so you will be rewarded on the Day of Resurrection, the reward of the patient friends and the reward of the thankful friends.
