Then, when God made the stars swim in these heavens, there were paths for their course for every planet, and he said, The sky is woven, so those paths are called spheres. The tangent to it, so that its course makes singing sounds and tones, because its course is on a known weight. He made the paths of some of them cross each other in the course of travel, and made their course for the observer between slow and fast, and he made for them an advance and a delay in known places from the sky.
