If it encounters in its place that joy or effect that the listener finds in himself, then its authority is strong and that is due to the strength of its origin on which it is based. These tones are stronger than the one on which the speech was based, for we hear a reader reciting or a vocalist chanting poetry, but we do not find movement in our souls for that. And we moved and found what we did not find, so we differentiated between what the natural tones were based on and what the saying was based on. The spiritualist looks at the arrangement of its effects in the world above and below, and finds in every audible, for all the audible is a melody for him. Spirituality refers to the divine movements, which is the saying of Al-Junayd, and you see the mountains, you think they are solid, and they pass as the clouds. God singled him out with it, and his movement in his hearing was divine, and it is one of the sciences that can be acquired and not transferred, and there is no goodness in descending to the lowest heaven every night. The first is attached to the chapter on listening, and the second is not attached to it, so know that, and we have linked listening to what is required of it, and we have achieved it, and we have not left a chapter or a section of it except that we mentioned it in the most abbreviated terms to stop him. God says the truth and He guides the way

( Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Three on Knowing the Place of Leaving Listening )

God is God, there is no mind that depicts Him *** and illusion worships Him in the form of human beings

The law sets it free for a time and limits it *** and the universe proves it in all other forms

Leaving listening is a position that only the strong of the people in the news can understand ***

If he says, Be, then to whom and the eye is one *** and there is no other in the eye and the trace

There is no trace in this saying *** Rather, it is an eye that was not if you were looking

And he did not say by hearing the saying except a young boy *** in love with the meanings of verses and images

If it were not for speech, there would be no hearing when the speech has come, so be careful of it

[ The hearing that the singing leaves behind ]

Absolute listening cannot be abandoned, and what the elders leave is the restricted and customary listening, and it is singing. Our master Abu Al-Saud Ibn Al-Shibli Al-Baghdadi was told what you say about listening. He said: It is forbidden for the beginner and the finished one does not need it. He was told to whom. He and peace be upon him, and she said, O Messenger of God, I vowed to strike in your hands with the tambourine, so he said to her: If I vowed, otherwise, no, then it is permissible. me

[ Ibn al-Arabi saw in the hearing ]

As for our doctrine in it, a man who is capable of himself does not summon him, and if he attends, he does not leave because of him, and to us it is absolutely permissible because nothing has been proven in his prohibition from the Messenger of God, may God s prayers and peace be upon him. It is a hidden divine deception, then if he finds his heart in him and in others and in any case, but he finds it in the melodies more, then it is forbidden for him to be present, and I do not mean by the tones heard in poetry only, but I mean by the presence of the tone in poetry and in others, even in the Qur an if his heart is found in it because of the good voice of the reader and does not find His heart is in it when he hears it from a reader who does not have a good voice, so he does not count on that sentimentality
