[ Desire on three parts ]

Desire for the people to come to terms with three levels: Desire whose place is the soul related to reward, Desire whose place is the heart, which is connected to the truth, and Desire whose place is secret related to truth. He asks for the reward of what God has promised, and he desires it for him as a confirmation of the divine ruling. As for the common people, they have no knowledge of that, so the perfect and the common share the form of desire, and each one is distinguished in the motivator from his companion, such as fear on the day of the greatest terror. Fearing for their nations, not for themselves, for they are the safe in that place, and the common people fear for their souls, so they share in fear and are separated in the cause that necessitates it.
