And stay on earth knowing that the home of the hereafter is better for you than this world, so do not choose anything other than what I chose for you, and do not hate meeting me, for whoever hates meeting me, I hate meeting him, and whoever loves to meet me, I love to meet him.

We narrated it from the hadith of Muhammad ibn Maslamah ibn Waddah, one of the people of Cordoba, may God have mercy on him. Do not remain in love with the one who does not love you except for the infallible of those who accompany you and agree with you in what he loves and disagree with you in what he hates, for he only accompanies his desires, and whoever accompanies his desires, he is only seeking the comfort of the world, O coven of the devotees, whoever among you wants the way, let the scholars meet ignorance and ascetics with desire, and the people of knowledge remain silent. On him before I saw his face, he said to me, and I said to him: Advise me before you see me, so keep your will from you, so do not look at me until you see that I put you off on me. Her blessing and I entered upon him after that and he saw that I took it off on me and he said like this, otherwise, no, then he said to me, erase what I wrote, forget what I memorized, and I don t know what I knew, and be like this with him anyway. May God s prayers and peace be upon him, commanding him and his nation, and say, Lord, increase me in knowledge. I seek need in the language of poverty, not in the language of judgment.
