There is room for me for others and for their hearing, so they will not hear any words in the world except from me, and over their eyes will be a veil of my splendor when they see me, so they will see no one but me, and they will have a great torment with me. To the one who denies you and rejects what you have brought to him from me to your face, and you listen to what your heart is distressed about, so where is that explanation that I saw in your secrets? For such are my trustees for my creation, whom I have hidden from My pleasure, so I will never be displeased with them. (Extending what we have summarized in this section) [The Saints in the Characteristics of Enemies] See how God Almighty concealed His saints in the character of His enemies. This is because the trustworthy people created His gentle name and revealed to them His beautiful name, so they loved Him, the Almighty, and jealousy is one of the characteristics of love in the Beloved. And the lover has two different faces, so others concealed his love from him, such as Al-Shibli and his likes, and he concealed them with this jealousy from being recognized. Then God Almighty said, “Indeed, those who disbelieved, that is, concealed what appeared to them in their viewing of the secrets of connection.” He said, “I must conceal from you from Myself with My attributes, so be prepared for that.” So they did not prepare, so I warned them on the tongues of My prophets and messengers about that.
