Amazing at the words of lofty souls *** The homes in the homes are valid
How to ascend from the bottom to the top *** Except by the subjugation of the Most High Presence
The art of analysis is on its ascension *** towards gentleness and sublime matters
And the creation of the composition when it returns *** with the extension of existence to the darkness of the abyss

[ Arranging and counting the sciences ]
Know, may God help you, that since the knowledge attributed to God does not accept abundance or order, it is not acquired or benefited, but rather His knowledge is the same as all the other attributes attributed to Him and what He is named by. Of the names and sciences other than God, they must be in a limited order, whether they are sciences of gift or sciences of acquisition, for they are not devoid of this order that we mention, which is the science of the singular first, then the science of composition, then the science of the compound, and there is no fourth for it. If it is from the vocabulary that does not accept composition, teach it singular. Likewise, what remains is that every known thing must be singular or compound, and the compound necessarily requires a progression.
