( In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful ) (Chapter Twenty-Four) Concerning the knowledge that has come about the cosmic sciences and the wonders it contains, the people who obtained them from the world, the ranks of their leaders, the secrets of sharing between two laws, and passionate hearts. By the world of breaths, by breaths, their origin, and to how far their stations end I marveled at a king who would bring us back a king *** and at a king who became a king for his slaves This is the property of the king, if you are a ruler *** From the pearls scattered from our knowledge, a wire So take sacred knowledge about the existence of truth *** so that whoever wills may take that knowledge from you If you are like me in science, you may see *** that what is in his being A copy of yours Is there anything on high that resists your command? *** And your swords have wreaked havoc in the depths If you had known, my beloved, his existence *** And who are you? You would be the master of knowledge, the king.
