The world, but they did not know it, because they were in the eye of gathering, and He addressed them from the eye of division, and they did not know the world of detail, so they were not prepared, and love had taken over their hearts with its power, jealous of the truth over them at that time, so His Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, informed the Spirit and the Qur’an of the reason that deafened them from answering what He called upon them. To him, and he said: God has set a seal on their hearts, so they have not sought anything else, and on their hearing, they only hear his words on the tongues of the world, so they witness him in the world speaking in their languages, and on their eyes there is a veil of his years, since he is the light and his splendor, since he has majesty and awe, desiring the previous attribute in which he was revealed to them, so he kept them drowning in seas. Pleasures by viewing the self, and He said to them, “You must [Page 116 of Cairo Edition] have a great torment, but they did not understand what the torment was due to the unity of the attribute with them. So He created for them the world of the universe and corruption, and then He taught them all the names and sent them down on the Merciful Throne, and therein is their torment, and they were hidden with Him in the treasures of His unseen. So when I saw them, The angels fell down in prostration to them, so they taught them the names. As for Abu Yazid, he was unable to straighten himself and could not bear the torment, so he was stunned from that moment, and God Almighty said, “Respond to my beloved, for he has no patience with me.” So he was blocked by longing and speaking, and the infidels remained, so they descended from the throne to the throne, and the feet appeared to them, so they descended on them.
