If these knowledges were the result of thought and consideration, man would be limited to the shortest period, but they are the resources of the Almighty Truth, successively flowing into the heart of the servant and his righteous souls, descending upon them from the world of his unseen, with His mercy that comes from Him and knowledge that comes from Him. Permanence either accepts ignorance or accepts knowledge. If he prepares, prepares, and purifies the mirror of his heart and its clarity, the gift will be granted to him permanently, and he will attain in the moment what he cannot limit in time due to the vastness of this intelligible sphere and the narrowness of this sensible sphere. So how can what has no conceivable end or destination cease to exist? He stated this in his command to his Messenger, peace be upon him, and say, “O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.” What is meant by this increase is knowledge related to God, to increase knowledge of the Oneness of the Many, so his desire to praise Him increases, so he increases in addition to praising Him without end or interruption. So he asked him for the increase, and he acquired knowledge and secrets that no one had attained, and from what supports what we have mentioned. Since he commanded an increase from the knowledge of monotheism and not from anything else, he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, when he ate food would say, “O God, bless it for us and feed us with something better than it,” and when he drank milk, he would say, “O God, bless it for us and give us more of it, ” because he commanded asking for an increase. /p>
