From the letters Jīm, Wāw, Kāf, and Qāf, they will be mentioned. As for the fourth rank, it is for animals, and it is pentagonal. It has the letters Dāl, the dry one, Zay, the dry Sad, the dry eye, the lexicalized Dād, the dry Sīn, the lexicalized ḍāl, and the two dictionary ghīn and shīn, and it will be mentioned, God willing. As for the fifth rank, it is for plants, and it is hexagrammatic. Of the letters Alif, Ha, and Lam, and they will be mentioned, God willing. As for the sixth rank, it is for inanimate objects, and it is a heptad, and it has letters Ba, Ha, Ta, Ya, Fa, Ra, Ta, Tha, Kha, and Da, and it will be mentioned, God willing. The purpose of this book is to show the highlights and lists of signs from the secrets of existence, even if we open the discussion to... The secrets of these letters and what their truths entail. The oath would have been exhausted, the pen would have been empty, the ink would have dried up, and the papers and tablets would have become narrow, even if it were the spread parchment. For they are among the words about which God Almighty said, “If the sea were ink,” and He said, “Even if all the trees on the earth were pens,” and the sea is supplied by seven after it.
