And there is gain in it. All that remains is to prepare the mind to accept what the Truth grants it of knowledge, the Almighty, so that it will never be known in terms of evidence except the knowledge of existence and that He is the One who is worshiped and nothing else. For the perceiving human being is never able to perceive anything except that something similar to it exists in him, even if not that. He did not perceive it at all, nor did he know it. If he did not know anything except that there was in it something similar to that known thing, he only knew what resembled it and resembled it, and the Almighty Creator does not resemble anything, nor is there anything like it, so he will never know it.

[ Natural things do not accept food except from their problems ]

What is supported by what we have mentioned is that natural things do not accept food except from their problems. As for what does not cause problems with them, they definitely do not accept food from them. An example of this is that the generators of minerals, plants and animals are combined. Of the four natures, the births do not accept nourishment except from them. This is because they contain a share of them. If any of creation were to seek to make the nourishment for his body composed of these natures from something that exists other than these natures, or what is composed of them, he would not be able, just as nothing of the natures is possible. Natural bodies cannot accept nourishment except from something that is one of the natures of which they are. Likewise, no one can know anything that does not have anything like it at all. Do you not see that the soul does not accept from the mind except what it shares in it and conforms to it and what it does not share?
