( In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful ) (Chapter on wiping over the socks) [The difference of opinion among scholars regarding wiping over the socks] As for wiping over the socks, the scholars of Sharia differed regarding it. Some say that it is permissible at all, some say that it is not permissible at all, such as Ibn Abbas and a narration on the authority of Malik, and some say that it is permissible to wipe over them while traveling but not at home. (He arrived at the hidden ruling in it) [Purity is purity, and truth is what is meant by purity] As for the hidden ruling regarding wiping over the socks, know that it is a matter that is presented to a person and is difficult for the one who offers it to remove it just as it is difficult He removed the slippers from the wearer, then the rule of purity was transferred to him, so he wiped over him, and since purity was purity, and the truth was that which purity means by purity, as God Almighty said, Glory be to your Lord, Lord of glory, above what they describe, and honor is prohibition, so he mentioned that his self refrained from being the subject of what the atheists described him as . [ The exaltation of the scholars in God is only knowledge, not work ] The Truth exalts the essence to Himself as long as He exalts Him through the exaltation of His servant, so the exaltation of the scholars in God the Truth, Glory be to Him, is only He.
