Relying on it, for that discredits his reliance on God. Whoever sees that it is not obligatory for washing, sees the soul’s restlessness towards the reasons, that he does not attain the position of relying on God immediately with the presence of seeing the reasons, and everyone who says that it is not obligatory deems it desirable to include it in washing. Likewise, seeing the reasons is desirable for everyone. Even if their rulings differ regarding it, God linked wisdom to its existence
( Chapter on wiping the head )
[ The difference of scholars regarding the obligatory amount of wiping the head ]
Sharia scholars agreed that wiping it is one of the obligatory matters of ablution, but they differed regarding the obligatory amount of it. Some say that it is obligatory to wipe all of it, and those who say that it is obligatory to wipe part of it, but they disagree about the limit for some. So who says that a third is obligatory, and who says that two-thirds is obligatory, and who says that a quarter is obligatory, and who says that there is no limit for some, and some of these spoke about the limit of the amount with which one can wipe with the hand, and who says that wiping it with less than three fingers is not permissible, and who says that there is no limit for some, neither in what is wiped nor in what one wipes with. This disagreement is the presence of the “ba” in God Almighty’s saying, “By your heads”
