[ The best word said by the prophets ] And know that there is no god but God, a word of denial and affirmation, and it is the best word said by the prophets The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said The best supplication, peace and blessings of God be upon him, is the supplication on the Day of Arafah, in which it is a reference to the supplication of those who know God, and the best thing that I and the prophets before me have said is: There is no god but God. It is an authentic hadith in narration and meaning. The negation must be answered by a fixed person who negates it, for if the negation is stated as It is not a constant, which is the negation. Prove it because the occurrence of negation upon negation is proof, just as non-existence does not exist. So what this negation denied by saying there is no god, tell us, we have asked you. What is also proven is whether its ruling is the ruling of the negated, since it only proves the negated, or is its ruling another ruling that distinguishes it from the ruling of negation, so what is it? He denied this negator and anything that this affirmer has proven. All of this must be verified, God willing. Know that the denial was responded to certain creatures when they were described as divinity and attributed to them and they were said to be gods. This is why those of the polytheists marveled at what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called them. To the One God, so God told us about Him that He said, “Have He made the gods one God? Indeed, this is a strange thing, so they called them gods, and they are not in this capacity.” The ruling of denial was based on this fixed attribution to them, not in the matter itself, not on the negation.
