The narrow and the lower part is wide, and this is how God created it. The first thing He created was narrow and the last thing He created was that which was wide, and it is the one that follows the head of the animal. There is no doubt that the Presence of actions and universes is wider, and for this reason the knower does not have breadth in knowledge except to the extent of what he knows of the world. Then, if he wants to move on to knowledge By the Oneness of God Almighty, he continues to rise from breadth to narrowness, little by little, and his knowledge decreases as he advances in knowledge of the essence of the truth, until nothing remains known to him except the truth alone, which is the narrowest of the century, for its narrowness is the highest in truth and in it is complete honor, and it is the first from which we emerge when it makes it grow. God is in the head of the animal, so it continues to ascend in its form from the narrowness, and its bottom is nine, and it does not change its state [Page 307 of the Cairo edition]

He is the first created being. You do not see the Truth, Glory be to Him, the first thing that created the pen, or say the mind. How much he said, He created only one, then He created the chain from that one, so the world expanded. Likewise, number originates from the one, then that which accepts the second, not from the one existence. Then it accepts the multiplication and combination in the ranks, and expands with great breadth to an infinite extent, so when I finished in it the expansion to some extent of thousands. And others, then you ask for the one from which the number arose. You still reduce the number and that breadth that you had will disappear from you.
