So he became aware and said, “What do the people of Saqr say when they are told, ‘What led you to Saqr?’ They said, ‘We were not among those who prayed, and we did not feed the poor. We used to quarrel with those who disputed, and we used to deny the Day of Judgment.’ And he said regarding the people of Hell, ‘He is lying. On the Day of Judgment, and none will deny it except every transgressor and sinner. He described it. With sin and transgression, then he said about them, then they will certainly end up in hell. Then it will be said, “This is what you used to deny,” and so it is with regard to Al-Hattamah and the Blaze and other things that the Qur’an or the Sunnah brought.

[ The occasions between the deeds of the people of Hell and their homes in Hell ]

We have mentioned the mothers and classes. As for the occasions of deeds for these homes, they are very numerous and it would be long to explain them. If we embarked on that, the scope would be long for us, for the scope is wide, but the deeds are mentioned and the punishment for them is mentioned. So when You stood upon any of that and you were upon light from your Lord and clear proof, for God will make it known to you with His generosity, and what we stipulated in this [page 304 of the Cairo edition] chapter and we translated on it was only the mention of the ranks, and we mentioned them and explained it and alerted us to places where the observer’s attention wanders from this book of mine from The verses that they cited in this chapter, from the beginning, are from God commanding Iblis to do what was mentioned to him. Is it for him to comply with that divine command? It is a matter that comes back to him in terms of whether he complies or not, and the like.
