Among them were those who found with them knowledge that was not restricted to incantation, and the truth was closer to him than his jugular vein when he was with those in the darkness and in the lowest heaven and in between. God Almighty said, “And He is with you wherever you are, so He is with every concern wherever it may be.” And they find earthly concerns that are sanctified above the heavens and above the ranks. The minds were not bound by His presence, so they attained from the sciences that befit this quality that the Truth bestowed on them, including the knowledge they acquired that astonished those who were determined, and it is from the sciences of the absolute that are outside the astronomical, spiritual, and rational confinement. They, despite their being in the darkness of nature, are in the light that illuminates that darkness due to the existence of God. Viewing [ Visual vision of visible things ] These are the ones who know that perception of visible things is only through... The light of sight combines with the light of the illuminated body, whether it is a sun, a lamp, or whatever it is, and the visible things appear. If the illuminated body was lost, nothing would appear, and if sight was lost, nothing perceived by sight would be illuminated with the light coming out. The principle is that you will not see the one who reveals it if the night becomes dark and a door closes on him. His house, and there will be another person with him in that darkness, and they are equal in not revealing it to seeing things, so one of them will be among those to whom it is revealed at certain times, and he will appear.
