If it occurred to them, God Almighty said, and they did not insist on what they did, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “ Remorse is repentance .” But if a loyal person is in the position he was in and the state he was in, he is pleased with it, then his pleasure is only in his condition. God is exalted for him to take pleasure in Him, but when his state of humiliation and brokenness remained, the necessity of the state in which he enjoyed existence, which was the state of obedience and agreement, disappeared. When Nakhil lost it, he was degraded from the eyes of God, but that state had not removed from him, he was degraded from it, since it was a state that required exaltation, and now he is in the ascension of humility, remorse, and poverty. Rejection, confession, and being polite to God Almighty and shyness towards Him, for he is promoted in this ascension, and this servant finds at the end of this ascension a state more honorable than the state he was in. Then he knows that he has not degenerated and has been promoted from where he does not feel that he is in advancement, and God hid that from his guardians so that they would not dare to attack him. Concerning transgressions, how much did he conceal the enticement of those whom God made miserable, saying, “We will lure them from where they do not know,” so they are as God Almighty said about them, and they thought that they were doing well.
