And it is within himself to this extent, so the knower knows from that the lineage of the divine names and the existence of beings connected to them, and that this is required by the divine presence for its own sake. So we dismiss the investigating scholar with these matters and the divine warnings on the belief that wisdom is in what is revealed, that this does not change, and that the reasons are never removed, and everyone who claims that He raised a reason without a reason, but he had knowledge neither of what he raised it with nor of what he raised, so no servant was given anything better than knowledge and acting upon it. These are the conditions of the literate servants of God Almighty
