This knower is an heir, since the inheritance goes to the last from the first. If that first had not had a law established before the determination of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, we would have been equal to the prophets and messengers, since they combined the time of the law of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, just as we are equal today with Elias, Al-Khidr, and Jesus, when he descended. Time will judge him, since there is no prophecy. Legislation after Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace [Page 223 of the Cairo edition] [ The Muhammadan Heir ] < p> It is not said of any of the people of this path that he is a Muhammadan except for two people: either a person who specializes in inheriting knowledge from a ruling that was not in the law before him, so he is said to be a Muhammadan, or a person who collected the stations and then departed from them to no station, like Abu Yazid and others like him, for this also is said to be a Muhammadan, and what is counting these two? The two persons are attributed to a prophet from among the prophets, and for this reason it was stated in the report that the scholars are the heirs of the prophets and he did not say the heirs of a specific prophet, and what is being addressed by this is the scholars of this nation, and this wording was also mentioned in his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, the scholars of this nation. The nation is the prophets of all nations, and in one narration, they are like the prophets of the children of Israel. [ The first and second Isawis ] The first Isawis are the disciples, followers of Jesus. So whoever of them has realized until now the law of Muhammad, peace and blessings of God be upon him, believed in it, followed it, and agreed that he would have acquired from this law what was before this law for Jesus, peace be upon him, then he will inherit.
