From Him and what is from Him, God Almighty says regarding a specific group, “And God is better and more lasting,” with the structure of comparison and no appropriateness. And He said regarding another group with a specific quality, “And what is from God is better and more lasting.” What is with Him is not the same as what is from Him, nor is it identical in its identity, so between the two groups is what is between the two positions. Just as it was said to one person, “What have I left for your family?” God and His Messenger said, and it was said to the other, and he said, “Half of my money.” He said, “Between you, what is between your two words” means in status. So if the servant takes from everything else, He makes it better and more lasting in God. And if he takes it from a facet of the world that requires veil, distance, and disapproval, He makes it better and more lasting in the sight of God. Then He distinguished the ranks, and then God Almighty introduced us to the people of literature and their level of knowledge of it. He said on the authority of Ibrahim, his friend, that he said, “He who created me, it is He who guides me, and He who feeds me and gives me drink.” He did not say, “He will make me hungry.” And if I am sick, and He does not say, “He makes me sick,” he will heal, so he added healing to himself, and sickness to Himself, even if it is all from Him, but God Almighty. It is literature His Messengers: Since [Page 205 of the Cairo Edition] illness is not acceptable to souls, unlike death, the virtuous, wise and knowledgeable people seek death to get rid of this imprisonment, and the prophets seek it in order to meet God, which includes it, and so do the people of God.
