[ The Problem of Divine Attributes and Names ]

And the one who opposes us says that he knows with knowledge, appreciates with ability, and sees with sight, and so is all that is described by him except for the attributes of exaltation, for he does not speak of this type, such as the rich and his like, except for some of them. Isaac made the seven origins, not objects superfluous to himself by which he characterized himself, and he made each name according to what it gives its significance, so he placed all the attributes of transcendence in the table of the living name, and he made the expert, the hesib, the knowing, the tester and his sisters in the table of knowledge, and he made the name thankful in the table of speech, and so is the right of all. It befits her from the names in the sense, such as the Creator and the Raziq for the ability and others on this method. There is no comparison and it is not appropriate, and he said in the case of another specific group, its description, and what God has is better and more enduring. Between your two words, it means in status, so if the servant takes from everything else, he makes it in God is better and more permanent, and if he takes it from a face of the world that requires veil, distance and slander, he made it what God has better and more permanent, so he distinguished the ranks. That night he said, He who created me, He guides me, and He who feeds me and gives me water, and He did not say He would make me hungry, and if I fell ill, He did not say He would make me sick, then He adds, and if He is the One who cures Him, and He is the one who cures himself and the one who gets sick.
