From Him, the heart is devoid of thought and the willingness to accept what is imported. It is He who gives us the matter as it is in its essence, without generality or confusion, so we know the facts as they are, whether they are the words or the occurrence of the authorship or the divine facts. We do not hesitate in any of them, for from there is our knowledge and the truth. Glory be to Him, our teacher, a protected prophetic inheritance, infallible from defect, generality, and apparent meaning. God Almighty said, “And We have not taught him poetry and what is appropriate for it, for poetry is the place of generalization, symbols, riddles, and puns.” That is, we have not symbolized anything for it, nor puzzled it, nor addressed it with anything, while we want something else, nor have we made a beautiful speech for it. It is only a remembrance of what He saw it when We took it away and concealed it from Him and brought it with Us, so we were its hearing and its sight. Then we returned it to you so that you might be guided by it in the darknesses of ignorance and the universe. So we were its tongue with which it addresses you. Then We sent down to it a reminder reminding it of what it had seen, so it is a reminder to it of that, and the Qur’an, that is, a collection of things that it had witnessed with us, made clear and apparent to it, because of its knowledge of the origin of what it had seen. And we witnessed him in that closeness to the most holy and honorable one that he received from him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and we have luck from him in proportion to the purity of the place, preparation, and piety.
