There is disagreement about it, and what I refer to is that everything that is called water in general is pure and purified, whether it is sea water or tanks. They also agreed that water whose color, taste, smell, or smell has been changed by impurity, or all of these descriptions, is not permissible for purification, if not the water has changed, not even one. Of its characteristics, it remained as it was originally in terms of purity and purification, and the impurity that occurred in it did not affect it. However, I know in this issue a disagreement regarding a little water in which a little impurity occurs, such that nothing of its characteristics changes.

(The inward ruling has arrived in this matter) [Water is the life by which hearts live]

As for the inward ruling in what [page 350 of the Cairo edition] we mentioned, know that water is the life by which hearts live. Through it, every heart will be purified from ignorance. God Almighty said, “And whoever is dead, We give him life and make for him a light by which he walks among the people, like someone like him who is in darkness from which there is no emerging. This is a proverb about disbelief, faith, knowledge, and ignorance.
