It is different, so you know that it is tangible, not imagined, and that he perceived it with the eye of sense, not with the eye of imagination, and from here it is known that a person’s perception in a dream is of his Lord Almighty, and He is far above image and likeness, and the control and restriction of perception of Him, and from here you know what was mentioned in the authentic report. From the fact that the Creator appears in the lowest form than the one in which they saw him and in his transformation into a form that they recognize, and they denied him and sought refuge from him, and so he knows which eye sees him, I have informed you that the imagination perceives by itself. We mean with the eye of the imagination or it is perceived with sight, and what is correct about that so that we can rely. On him and on us in that. If my Beloved *** appears, with what eye can I see him ? With his eye, not with my eyes *** for no one else sees it. Out of respect for His position and in confirmation of His words, for He is the one who said, “Sights cannot perceive Him,” and He did not specify one house from another. Rather, He sent it as an absolute sign and a specific, verified matter, so no one else can perceive it. So with His Eye, Glory be to Him. I see him in the authentic report. You were his sight through which he sees, so wake up, O heedless sleeper, from such things and pay attention, for I have opened for you a door of knowledge that cannot be reached by thoughts, but can be accepted by the minds, either by divine providence or by clearing the hearts with remembrance and recitation, so the mind accepts.
