Contrary to the scale of the torment of the people of Hell, the people of Hell are tormented for their deeds and nothing else, and the people of Paradise are blessed with their deeds and other than their deeds in the Gardens of Specialization

[ The Gardens of the People of Happiness ]

For the people of happiness, there are three Gardens: a Garden of deeds, a Garden of specialization, and a Garden of inheritance. This is because there is no person, whether among the jinn or mankind, except that he has a place in Paradise and a place in Hell. This is due to his original possibility, for before his existence he could have remained in nothingness or existed. This truth is for him acceptance of bliss and acceptance of torment. Paradise seeks everyone and everyone seeks it, and Hell seeks everyone and everyone seeks it. God says, “And if He had willed, He could have guided you all.” That is to say, you are capable of that. But the word has come true, knowledge has preceded, and the will has been executed. There is no one to oppose His command and no one to follow up on His ruling. So the people of Paradise will descend in Paradise for their deeds, and they will have gardens. The inheritance, which is what would belong to the people of Hell if they entered Paradise, and they will have gardens of specialization [Page 303 of the Cairo edition] God Almighty says: That is the Paradise which we will inherit from our servants whoever is pious. This is the Paradise that was acquired for them by way of inheritance from the people of Hell who are its inhabitants since they were not in the knowledge. God does not say about the people of Hell that they will inherit from Hell the places of the people of Paradise if they enter Hell. This is from the precedence of mercy due to the generality of His bounty, Glory be to Him.
