Knowing, and we know that the Truth is knowledgeable, so it is necessary for Him to have knowledge, and that knowledge is an attribute additional to Himself existing in Him. No, rather He is God, the Living, All-Knowing, All-Powerful, All-Aware. All of this is for Himself, not by a matter additional to Himself, since if that were by a matter additional to Himself, which is Attributes of perfection without which the Essence cannot be perfect, so its perfection is achieved by an addition to its essence, and its essence is characterized by a deficiency if this additional is not achieved by it. This is induction, and this is what called the theologians to say about the attributes of the Real, neither they are He nor are they other than Him. And what we have mentioned is a form of induction that is not worthy of the sublime. Then, when those who said the excess sensed, they took another path in expressing this, saying, “We did not rationalize it by induction, but rather we said that the evidence is given that there is no knower except the one through whom knowledge is performed, and it must be something additional to the essence of the knower because it is one of the attributes of meanings that can be elevated while the essence remains.” So when he gave The evidence for that is that we expelled Him, whether present or absent, meaning in truth and creation, and this is escaping from them and avoiding [Page 285 of the Cairo edition] what is correct. Then they confirmed that by saying what we mentioned about them, that His attributes are neither Him nor are they other than Him, and they limit others to a limit that others prevent. And if you ask them, is it a command? Plus, they admitted that it is something extra, and this is the essence of extrapolation.
