When he tastes this pleasure and begins to do good deeds, his place is purified and he prepares to sit with the king , he says, “I am the companion of the one who remembers me, ” and his knowledge is strengthened. Through Him, Glory be to Him, and the knowledge of what His majesty deserves, and the knowledge of the measure of those who disobeyed Him, he became completely ashamed and the pleasure he found was gone when the time of his repentance came to him, and he looked up and saw the Divine Presence demanding that he be polite and thankful for the blessings bestowed upon him, so his worry and distress would increase, and his pleasure would be diminished. This is why you see those who know God do not see in their sleep what the seekers see. Those who have the beginnings of light, for the initiate remembers the good deeds of his deeds and conditions and sees their results, and the knowledgeable people sleep with a vision of negligence and negligence of what the high heaven deserves, so they see in sleep only what concerns them of darkness, thunder, lightning, and every fearful matter, for sleep is subordinate to the senses, and since the soul by nature loves pleasant things, it has lost its pleasure. Repentance, in its state of knowledge and its end, is why he yearns for its beginning for the sake of the pleasure associated with that place and his high status, and this tenderness is a relief for his anxiety and grief that his knowledge of God has given him. He is like one who takes pleasure in wishes. This is the reason for the longing of those with endings.
