Start with a chapter or subject
Use the chapter directory for the 560 chapters and introductory texts. If you begin with a question, try subjects, concepts or library search. These guides help locate relevant material; they do not replace reading the passage in context.
Follow the text and its image
Use the reader’s previous and next links to continue across page boundaries. The main text appears before its page information. Open the image and comparison tools when checking wording. A website record number is not necessarily the printed page or manuscript folio; Cairo and Konya references are not interchangeable.
Keep a usable reference
Record the work, edition or manuscript, volume, printed page or folio and side, chapter, URL and access date. Identify a quotation separately from your summary or interpretation. When reading a translation, keep the linked Arabic reference as well. The source guide explains verification, and Contact accepts documented corrections.
