And they knew its effect, and they did not influence it in one of the universes, so they would mention that matter which is for that divine name, so it would be a veil over that name. So when they did not do that and they added the effect emanating from their hands to the divine name, which is the author of the effect in reality, the divine names all praised them. As for the praise of the angels, it was because they did not compete with them in what they did. They attributed it to themselves in relation, not by action, in their saying, “We glorify Your praise and sanctify You.” Then these men said, “There is no power nor strength except in You.” So they did not claim in anything of what they knew from [Page 247 of the Cairo Edition] the glorification of God, and they attributed that to God, so the angels praised them, for they Despite this situation, the angels were not offended and behaved with them, as they were not subjected to criticism for what they did against their father Adam, peace be upon him, and they apologized to the angels for preferring the side of truth and infecting them with knowledge, for what they said occurred among the children of Adam, there is no doubt about corruption and bloodshed, and this is a well-known secret. As for the praise of the prophets and messengers, Peace be upon them, because they submitted to them what they claimed to be theirs of prophecy and message, and they believed in them, and they did not stop in their conditions with the parts of prophecy, they were characterized by it, but despite this, they were not characterized by prophets or messengers, and they were sincere in following them.
