Are you a resident of the jinn or one of the servants of God? Let us hear your voice and show us your person. We are the delegation of God and the delegation of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the delegation of Omar ibn al-Khattab. He said, and the mountain parted from a mole like a millstone with a white head and beard, and a cloak of wool upon it. So he said, “Peace be upon you, and God’s mercy and blessings,” so we said, “And upon you be peace and mercy.” God and His blessings. Who are you? May God have mercy on you. He said, “I am Zurayb bin Barthumala, the guardian of the righteous servant Jesus bin Maryam, peace be upon them. He made me dwell in this mountain and prayed for me to have a long life until he descended from the sky and killed the pig and broke the cross and disavowed what the Christians had befallen. What the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did. We said, ‘He died,’ and he wept for a long time.” Until his beard was stained with tears, then he said, “Who among you rose up after him?” We said, “Abu Bakr.” He said, “What he did.” We said, “He has passed.” He said, “Who among you rose after him?” We said, “Omar.” He said, “If I miss meeting Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, then extend my greetings to Omar, and say, O Omar, direct and approach, for the matter has approached, and tell him of these qualities that I will tell you, O Omar, if these qualities appear in the nation of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, then escape is escape if men do not need men and women do not need women.
