On the authority of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, from the reports in all that he described his Lord Almighty, such as joy, laughter, wonder, rejoicing, anger, hesitation, hatred, love, and longing. This and others like it must be believed and believed. If whiffs of this divine presence were to blow, as revelation, manifestation, and divine definition, upon the hearts of the saints, such that They know with the knowledge of God and they witness with the testimony of God of these matters expressed with these words on the tongue of the Messenger, and faith has come from me and from you in all of this. If he brings something similar to this, this guardian in the right of God Almighty, you are not a heretic, as Al-Junaid said. You are not saying that this is imitated. This is an idol worshiper. How can the truth be described with what it has been described? The idol-worshippers have not done more to him than this, as Ali bin Al-Hussein said. You were not killing him or issuing a fatwa to kill him, as Ibn Abbas said. So in what way did you believe and submit when you heard that from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, regarding the right of God, among the matters that rational evidence refers to and forbids? Whoever interpreted it, and Al-Ash’ari interpreted it in ways that were fair in his claim, so where is the fairness? Would you not say that the power is vast enough to be given to this saint?
