Kissing and talking about it are long [ On the science of letters: their properties ] As for their knowledge of letters and names, know that letters have properties and are of three types, including numerical, verbal, and conjured letters. By conjured letters, I mean the letters that a person conjures in his imagination and imagination and pictures. Either he conjures numerical letters or verbal letters, and then letters have another rank, so he does by conjuring just as he does by writing or enunciating. As for the letters of pronunciation, they are only names, for that is the properties of names. As for the numbered letters, they may not be names. The people of this knowledge differed as to whether a single letter does or does not. I saw among them a group of people who prevented that from being done. There is no doubt that when I delved into something like this with them, I stopped them in their error in that which they went on to say. To him, and their correctness, and what they lacked in the expression of that, and among them were those who confirmed the verb to the single letter, and these also, like those who were prohibited, were wrong and correct. I saw a group of them and informed them of the location of the mistake and the correctness, so they confessed as the others confessed, and I said to the two groups, “Experience what you know of that based on what we have explained to you.” So they tried it and found the matter as we mentioned it, so they rejoiced in that. If I had not vowed that no trace of a letter would appear from me, I would have shown them the wonder of that . > Know that
