The All-Knowing, the All-Wise, the Almighty, the Almighty, opens up to these men in the interior of the revealed books, the purified scrolls, the speech of the entire world, and the arrangement of letters and names in terms of their meanings, that which no one else has divine jurisdiction over. As for the men of the limit, they are the ones who have control over the world of fiery spirits, the world of the isthmus [Page 188 of the Cairo edition] < p> And tyranny, for under tyranny you do not see him oppressed under the authority of those with tails, and they are a group of the piercing meteors. They were only oppressed by their kind. For these men, the descent of their souls and their bringing, and they are the men of the norms, and the norms are a barrier between heaven and hell, an isthmus, the interior of which is mercy and the exterior. Whoever accepts the torment, it is a border between the abode of the happy and the abode of the miserable, the abode of the people of vision and the abode of the veil, and these men are the happiest people with the knowledge of these surahs, and they have witnesses of the imaginary lines between every two opposites, such as his saying, “Between them is an isthmus that they do not cross, so they do not transgress the limits, and they are men of mercy that encompasses all things, so they have in all.” The Presence of Entry and Prospect, and they are those who know the characteristics by which every existent is distinguished from all others.
