This rank is with God because they have protected their hearts from entering them other than God, or they are attached to any of the universes other than God. They have no sitting except with God and no conversation except with God, so in God they stand, and in God they look, and in God they depart and turn, and they speak from God, and from God they trust, and in God they trust. They dwell, and they have nothing known but Him, and no witness except Him. They have protected their souls from their souls, so their souls do not recognize them. They are hidden in the absences of the unseen. They hold the truth. They are extracted. They eat food and walk in the markets, walking with cover and eating a veil. This is the condition of this group mentioned in this chapter. (An honorable continuation) of this chapter [The guardian follows the Prophet with insight] We said, “And from this Presence I sent the Messengers, may God’s peace be upon them all, lawfully and found.” With them, these are their followers, following their command from one source, from whom the prophets and messengers took what they legislated, and from it the saints took what they followed them in, so they are the followers with insight, knowing who they followed and what they followed, and they are the knowers.
