The symbol and the riddle is the speech that gives its apparent meaning what was not intended by its speaker. Likewise, the status of the world in existence is what God created for its own sake, but God created it for Himself, so the world was preoccupied with something other than what He found for it, so it contradicted the intention of its creator, and for this reason a group of people say The knowledgeable scholars, and they are better off than those without them. Indeed, God created us for us, and the investigator and the servant do not say that, but rather say, We created Him for Him, not because of His need for me. For I am the riddle of my Lord and His symbol. And whoever knows the poetry of riddles knows what we intended. As for his saying, “When the seekers came with the intention of attaining something,” they are permissible as metaphors. He says, “Whoever seeks God for a thing, then it is for what he asked for, and nothing else can be attained from him.” And his saying about the slaves of the entity says, “Whoever worships God for a thing, then that thing is worshiped by him and his Lord, and God is free from it, and it is for what he worshiped.” And His saying, “Hold,” meaning, “take what you came for,” meaning, because of it, and “pass,” meaning, “go.” For you did not come to us nor because of us
