No one can bear the trust except he who fulfills the seven, and this was the seventh of Abdal, so he took this verse as a hijra. We have explained to you the ranks of Abdal. [ The Caliphs of the Qutb, Madawi Al-Kulum ] And I was informed that this Pole, who is the Healer of the Wretched, was during the time of his imprisonment in his temple and his rule in the world. When he stood, seventy tribes stood for him, all of them in whom divine knowledge and the secrets of existence were revealed. He never spoke more than seven words, and he remained among his companions for a long time. In his time, he appointed a virtuous person from among his companions, whose name was the closest person to him in council, and his name was Al-Muslim. When this Imam ascended, he assumed his position in the Qutbiyyah Al-Muslim. The majority of his knowledge was the knowledge of time, which is an honorable knowledge from which he knows eternity, and from which his saying, peace be upon him, appeared. “There was God and nothing was with Him, and this is knowledge that does not exist.” Only individual men know it, and it is expressed by the first eternity [Page 157 of the Cairo edition] and the eternity of ages, and from this eternity time was created, and by it God is called eternity, and it is his saying, peace be upon him, “Do not revile eternity, for God is eternity, ” and the hadith is authentic and proven. He attained the knowledge of eternity, and he did not stop at anything that attributed it to the truth, for it has the greatest breadth, and from this knowledge, articles about God are numerous.
