Responding, he said, “What prevented my king from answering me?” The minister said to him, “In your meeting with an obedient king, great in authority. He is called passion. You gave him the gift of giving him the world in its entirety. So he extended his presence to her and called on her. She responded to him, so the soul returned with a complaint to God Almighty, and his servitude was confirmed, and that was what was intended.

[ The lords and those who are nurtured in various worlds ]

And the lords and those who are nurtured descended, each one according to his station and worth. The separate world of testimony is their Lord, the world of speech, and the connected world of testimony is their Lord, the world of power, and the world of power is their Lord, the world of the kingdom and the world of the kingdom. Their Lord is the Word, and the Word is its Lord [Page 114 of the Cairo edition] Lord of all, the One, the Eternal, and we have exhausted the statement in this chapter in our book called Divine Discretions in Reforming the Human Kingdom, so we refrained from concluding this chapter here for fear of lengthening, and we also mentioned it in the interpretation of the Qur’an. Glory be to Him who is unique in raising His servants and withholding Who among them is obscured by intermediaries and left out of this chapter is he who knows his soul and its meaning that the Lord is God, Glory be to Him, and that the worlds are the universal example. Therefore, He created a throne in the worlds on eight letters and established it with kindness, education, tenderness, and merciful mercy, confirmed by the merciful, to distinguish the animal abode, according to the Almighty’s saying, “The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.”
