Some gentlemen say, and he heard a sneezer say, “Praise be to God,” and that gentleman said to him, “Complete it as God, Lord of the Worlds,” said. The sneezer said, “O our master, and from the world until it is mentioned with God.” So he said to him, “Now say it, my brother. If the modern is combined with the ancient, no trace will remain of it, and this is the position.” The connection is a state, and he has the people of annihilation for themselves. And if he had annihilated himself from his annihilation, he would not have said, “Praise be to God,” because in his saying “praise,” the servant affirmed what is expressed by the robe according to some of them and by the garment according to others. And if he had said, “Lord of the Worlds,” he would have been higher than the station he was in. That is the station of the heirs, and there is no station higher than it. Because he is a witness, no tongue moves with him, nor is he disturbed by him. The hearts of the people of this position are in their conditions, their mouths are open, the lights of self have taken possession of them, and the images of attributes have appeared on them.
