The science of maqām pays attention to the difference in the knowledge of meaning, and does not pay attention to the difference in the ta’ or any letter, whether it is a pronoun or not, for it has a number and a word and nothing else, as the Ash’aris say in the symptoms, whether the people agree with them on that in movement in particular, and they do not reach knowledge of that in anything other than movement, so for this reason They denied it and did not say it, and attributed the one who said it to obsession and denial of sense, and they were withheld from realizing the weakness of their minds, the corruption of the object of their consideration, and their inability to act on the meanings. If the first had occurred to them in a real revelation of its essence, that truth would have applied to all symptoms, as a general ruling that is not specific to a symptom without a symptom, even if the types of symptoms differed. There must be a comprehensive truth and a decisive truth, and so is this issue that we mentioned regarding those who said what we said about it and those who denied it. [ Investigators are wanted for sensible images ] What is sought by investigators is not the tangible images of words and numbers, but what is required is the meanings contained in this number or this word and the reality of the word and the number itself. The one who looks at the images is only spiritual and cannot deviate from his type. So do not be veiled by seeing the dead person not asking for bread because there is no spiritual secret from him and the living person is asking for it. For the existence of the soul
