In the Divine Presence, and the three risings of the Divine Moon in the Divine Presence, and what is between them in going out and returning, step by step, is never disturbed. Then, Glory be to Him, He placed these letters in ranks, some of which are connected, some of which are disjointed, and some of them are singular, dual, and plural. Then He pointed out that in every connection there is a disjunction, and not in every disjunction there is a connection. Every connection indicates a separation, but not every separation indicates a connection. The connection and separation are in the plural and non-plural, and the separation alone is in the same sense of difference. So what He has separated from these is an indication of the eternal annihilation of the servant’s design, and what He has separated is an indication of the immediate existence of the form of slavery, and what He has combined is a reference to eternity with infinite resources, so singling out For the eternal sea and the plural for the eternal sea and the dual for the Muhammadan isthmus. Man is the pasture of the two seas. They meet between them, an isthmus that they do not cross. So which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? Is it by the sea with which He connected it and consumed it from entities, or by the sea that He separated from it and called it universes, or by the isthmus that He made equal? The Most Gracious be upon him, so which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? From the sea of eternity emerges the pearl. And from the sea of eternity, the coral, so which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? And for Him are the spiritual neighbourhoods, the establishments of the nominal truths in the holiest self-sea, like signs. So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? The upper world asks Him on His highness and holiness, and the underworld.
