Am I not your Lord? They said, “Yes,”

The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said in this verse that when God created Adam, He seized his back and extracted from him something like the size of an atom, so they testified against themselves.

[ In His Holy Name, the entire world was created ]

Likewise, knowledge is pure in its attachment to its information, so no matter how much it appears to be a restriction of the truth in a matter and knowledge, what we stop at, and so is life. For its own sake, it is pure and purifying, and everything other than God is alive. Everything other than God is essentially pure. In His Holy Name, the entire world was created.

[ There is nothing but He. He glorifies the praise of God ]

But we said that everything other than God is living, for there is nothing, even though the thing is most indestructible, except that it glorifies the praise of God, and glorification cannot come except from a living person, even if God has taken our hearing from the glorification of inanimate objects. And plants and animals that are incomprehensible, as our eyes have been able to perceive the life of inanimate objects and plants, except for those for whom God broke the custom, such as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and whoever of his companions was present when God made them hear the glorification of the pebbles. He was not breaking [Page 382 of the Cairo edition] the custom in glorifying the pebbles, but rather The custom of attaching their ears to it has been broken, and we heard, praise be to God, at the beginning of our matter, the glorification of a stone and its utterance of the remembrance of God.
