Today, in wisdom, I mean by wise people those who were in their own way of working with themselves, exercises, struggles, and seclusion, and preparing themselves for the comings of what comes to them in their hearts when they are pure from the upper world revealed in the highest heavens. These I mean by wise people, for the masters of stork, speech, and debate who used their thoughts in the materials of the words that came from the forefathers and were absent. About the matter from which those men took it. As for the likes of these people who are with us today, they have no value in the eyes of every rational person. They mock religion and belittle the servants of God. Only those who are with them on their level are glorified in their eyes. Their hearts have been taken over by love of the world and the pursuit of prestige and leadership. So God humiliated them just as they humiliated knowledge, despising them and making them small. And He took refuge in them at the gates of kings and ignorant governors, but kings and governors humiliated them. Their words are not taken into consideration, for God has sealed their hearts, deafened them, and blinded their sight, with the broad claim that they are the best in the world in their own eyes. The jurist who gives fatwas in the religion of God, despite his lack of piety in every respect, is better off than these, for the one with faith Although he took it as a tradition, he is better off than these rational people
