What comes to them of the truth and they convey it to the people and they act upon it

Know that people in this position are in one of three categories, including those whose incomings are greater than the strength that they have within themselves, so the incoming one rules over them, but the condition overwhelms them, so by virtue of their ruling, the condition distracts them and they have no control over themselves as long as they remain in that state. If they continue in that condition until the end of their life, then that is it. What is called in this way insane, such as Abu Uqal al-Maghribi, and among them is someone who retains his mind there and his animal mind remains on him, so he eats, drinks, and acts without planning or deliberation. These are called rational, crazy people because they eat a normal life like all other animals. As for someone like Abu Uqal, he is crazy taken from him completely, and this is why he did not eat and drink from when he took it. Until he died, and that was within a period of four years in Mecca, he was insane, that is, he was completely hidden from the knower of his senses, and among them was the one for whom the ruling of that which was present did not last, so the condition would go away from him, and he would return to the people with his mind and manage his affairs, and he would reason with what he said and was told, and he acted with deliberation and deliberation like every human being, and that is the Prophet and his companions. The circumstances of the saints, and among them are those whose coming and manifestation are equal to their strength, and no trace of that is seen on him, but he feels when they see, and then something that occurred to him [Page 249 of the Cairo edition] a hidden feeling, for this must be listened to, that is, to that which is coming.
