And God Almighty has three hundred creatures like this, which was reported from him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the three of the three hundred are ten tenths, for the tenth of the three hundred is thirty, which is the month, and the tenth of thirty is three, so it is the tenth of a tenth, for it is His saying: Whoever does a good deed will have ten times as much, so the Truth accepts those three hundred thirty, and He rewards him with the thirty three hundred creatures, for he said. Ten times as much, it is as if he fasted the whole month. Therefore, it is permissible for three hundred, since the thirty were accepted as an action without reward, for it is like a good deed and a good deed is an action, and the two examples are those that share the qualities of the soul. So look at the wisdom of the legislator, how kind and beautiful it is in encouraging us to fast three days of every month and what the generality of creation has warned of. The essence of the rewar
