Know, O intimate friend, may God support you with the Holy Spirit and your understanding, that the symbols and riddles are not intended for themselves, but rather they are intended for what they symbolize and for what has been riddled about them and their places in the Qur’an, all verses of consideration, and the warning to that is the Almighty’s saying: And these are parables We present for the people, for the parables did not come to be sought for themselves, but rather they came to be known. Among them are those for which it was mentioned and those for which it was set up, for example, such as the saying of God Almighty, “He sent down water from the sky, and valleys flowed in their capacity, and the torrent carried rising foam.” And of what they kindle it in the fire, seeking ornaments or belongings, there is foam. The insight with which the Qur’an was revealed in the Almighty’s saying: “Call to God with insight, I and whoever follows me,” which is the fulfillment of God Almighty’s saying, “He sent among the unlettered people a messenger from among them.” So he is the unlettered prophet who calls with insight along with his illiteracy, and the unlettered ones are those who call with him to God with insight, so they are his followers. In ruling, since he is the head of the group, the diligent person, and the one who has thought, he will never have insight into what he rules. Know, may God help you, that man has two states, a state called sleep and a state called wakefulness. In both cases, God has given him a perception by which he perceives things. These perceptions in wakefulness are called senses, and in sleep they are called combined senses. Everything you see while awake is called vision, and everything you see while awake is called a sense. Sleep is called short vision, and everything that a person perceives in sleep is what the imagination has detected in the state of wakefulness from the senses, and it is of two types: either what he perceived its form through the senses, or what he perceived parts of his form that he perceived in sleep through the senses. This is necessary, for it lacks something in the perception of the senses. In the origin of his creation, he did not perceive in wakefulness that matter which lost the sensory meaning with which he perceived it in the origin of his creation, so he never perceives it in sleep. The original is

We also learned that He said, “Have you not seen that God is glorified by whoever is in the heavens and the earth and the birds in clear rows, each of whom has learned his prayer and glorification.” So he adhered to that and persevered in it. He addressed this verse to his Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace God, upon him be peace and blessings, is the one to whom he witnessed that, and he saw it, and he said to him, “Did you not see?” He did not say, “Did you not see?” For what we saw, we have faith, and it is Muhammad’s, peace and blessings of God be upon him, who is an eyewitness. Likewise, He also said to him, “When I witness it, the prostration of everything.” Have you not seen that God prostrates to Him whoever is in The heavens and whoever is in the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the animals, and many peopl
