God Almighty said, “And We will not punish until We send a messenger,” and we do not impose on God except what He has made obligatory on Himself. He has made it obligatory to make it known by His Almighty saying, “And upon God is the intention of the path,” like His saying, “and it is a right upon us.” Helping the believers and saying, “Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy,” and in truth, this was only obligatory by lineage, not by Himself, for He is exalted to make it obligatory for the sake of the legal obligation. It is as if when divine knowledge was attached to it, it was removed from determining the path in which our happiness is, and knowledge of what is knowledge had the form of conveyance, and it was.
