[ Giving thanks to God and to parents is of the universal status ]
God Almighty said, “Give thanks to Me and to your parents. It has become clear to you, O Guardian, who your fathers and mothers are.” The closest father to you, and he is the one through whom your eyes appeared, and your mother is also closest to you to the first father, who is the greatest grandfather to the fathers and mothers between them, so thanking them with which they delight and rejoice in praising them is to attribute them to their owner and creator, and to take away the action from them and attach it to its deserving one, who is the Creator of all things. So, You did that, then you brought joy to your fathers by doing that, and bringing this joy to them is the same as your righteousness toward them and your thanking them to them. If you did not do this and forgot God about them, you did not thank them nor did you comply with God’s command to thank them. He said, “Thank me,” so he introduced himself to let you know that he is the first and foremost reason. Then he turned around and said, “And to your parents.” They are the reasons that God brought you into existence so that you can attribute them to Him, Glory be to Him, and they have over you the merit of precedence in existence in particular, not the superiority of effect, because in reality they have no effect, and if they are causes for the existence of effects, then to this extent it is valid for them to be credited and He asked you to thank Him, and He sent down the truth to you, and you have its status in precedence over you, not in effect, to be. Praise for progress and influence is for God Almighty, and for progress and pause for parents, but
