Or Saeed [ The First Mixing of Mothers ] And know that there are wonders in the mixing of these principles, for heat and cold are two opposites, so they do not mix, and if they do not mix, they do not mix. There is nothing about them, as is the case with humidity and dryness. Rather, the opposite is mixed with the opposite of the other opposite, so only four are generated from them, because they are four, and for this reason they were two opposites of two. If they were not like this, the composition of them would be greater than what their facts give, and it is not valid for the composition to be more than four principles. The four are the origins of number, so the three that is in the four with the four is seven, the two that is in the four with this seven is nine, and the one that is in the four is with this nineteen, and combine whatever you want after this, and you will not find a number that gives you this except four, just as you will not find a complete number except six because it contains a half, a sixth, and a third. So heat and dryness mixed, and there was fire, and heat, and moisture, so there was air, and cold, and moisture, so there was water, and cold and dry, and there was dust, so look at the formation of air from heat and moisture, and it is the breath, which is the sensory life, and it is the mover of everything by itself, water, earth, and fire, and by its movement things move because it is life, since movement is the effect of life. These are the four pillars generated by the first mothers, then you will know that these are the first mothers.
